About Maria

I am on a journey, a sojourn, a pilgrimage in so many ways.  As a believer and follower of Jesus Christ, I take seriously His teachings in the Sermon on the Mount and what have been recorded in the Four Gospels.  I am a wife, a mother (of three children in very different phases of life), a theologically-trained person but still in training, the only daughter of a now widowed homemaker, a learner but also a teacher, a talker and a listener.  After years of bottled up creativity, the cap is off the bottle and in the last 20 years I have explored more of my creativity.  Better with less than fine skills, I love chunky, earthy, sassy, loud creations but hardly adorn myself with my creations preferring instead to give them away or sell them to feed my obsession.  I love books, movies, beads, fabric, clay, glass, woven textures, etc.  God created me and God is still creating me and I try to work with God on creating and being creative!

  1. Hi Maria … that statement is beautiful and I can so identify with what you said. I remember our ‘brief encounter’ a couple of years ago, before you left the USA… our first meeting and thereafter. May God richly bless you and yours in all that you do! Do let’s keep in touch. Love, Sylvia

  2. hei there ms maria. stumbled and fell right on ur blog.from a piggy-back ride/compliments of kandasami’s blog.

not 2 sure if i welcomed on ur blog.
anyways…say a warm hello to ur mum, and enjoy saying “y’all” instead of “you all”

  3. oops, i meant “if i AM welcomed…..” – thats what happens when
spectacles go missing, old age sneaks up, and naughty children insists on being carried, and clamouring for attention…..

  4. Hi, Maria. I’m enjoying your blog so much. Keep it up 😉
