Unconditional Acceptance

In Uncategorized on December 31, 2011 at 11:34 pm

I have a request to make. I do not want to say this to your face so I am posting this instead. Can you please stop comparing my children with your other grandchildren? Why do you have to use your favourites as a benchmark for the rest of your grandchildren? And also you don’t have to compete with my children’s other grandmother, her grandchildren are your grandchildren. Why do you have to “win” by saying that certain grandchildren of yours are better or as good as her grandchildren? This is not a competition. If it were, your “unfavourite” grandchildren are actually the most successful (by Singapore standards).

So if you really truly love my children, stop measuring them against the other grandchildren and also, do not make them out to be way better than the other grandchildren, too. Maybe you need to understand the love of the Prodigal Father for yourself.

Please leave my children out of your deep need to pat yourself on your back for something that is totally God’s grace. And don’t try to credit it to your persistent prayers. Even before you prayed, God’s hand was already on ALL of the children. That’s grace.

God will leave no child behind.

Pleased with decision

Went to the doctor.

Glad I made the decision to switch.

I think I’ll stay with this one.

Now…make that decision (again) to take care of my health with regard to the Type 2 diabetes.

Lord, Have Mercy on me a sinner.

Doctor, Doctor

In Uncategorized on December 8, 2011 at 9:10 am

After just over a year here, I have decided to see a new doctor.  My appointment is at 10:20am today.  I wonder if my doing so is because I am avoiding my reality concerning my health or because I am convincing myself things will be different with different doctor.  Honestly, I think it is just my lack in taking more responsibility for my choices regarding how I will manage my health issues.

While another doctor was recommended by a friend with the same condition I have, he is unable to see me until 2012, so I have requested his colleague who happens to be the father of the children’s dentist.  Let’s see how it goes.

What really matters is me taking more responsibility and being more accountable.  It’s really all up to me.  No one, no doctor, no nutritionist can make me do what I should do.  They can only advise me.

Have I given up on myself?

Lord, have mercy.

The Silence of Christmas

In Uncategorized on December 5, 2011 at 9:44 am

My wish for Christmas this year is SILENCE.

Not that angels cannot sing.

Not that shepherds cannot declare that “He is born.”

Not that the wise people cannot present Him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

But silence in the interior so that we can more properly reflect what it means to let the Christ Child be born again in our hearts, minds, body, strength and soul.

Will I egoless be and let the Christ rule in my life?
